Can Reeve.Database accidentally modify data during a read query?
No. The read endpoint enforces SELECT-only access at the API layer — non-read statements are rejected before they reach your database. You also get a truncation flag in the response so you always know if the result set was capped.
How do write operations stay safe if callers can supply parameters?
Callers never send raw SQL. Write operations run against a saved template you define in advance; callers supply only the parameters that template expects. Reeve executes the template and returns affected row counts and any returned data, so every change is traceable.
What happens if I request connection details before a database has been provisioned?
The endpoint tells you explicitly that no database has been set up yet, rather than returning an error or empty response. That way your application can prompt for provisioning instead of failing silently.
Who can access my database schema through Reeve?
Schema requests are protected — only authorized applications or logged-in users tied to your account can retrieve the table and column breakdown. Unauthorized callers are blocked before any schema information is returned.
How does Reeve handle the credentials I paste in to connect a provider?
Where the provider supports it, Reeve verifies your credentials at connection time, then stores them securely against your account. You receive confirmation that the connection is live along with the linked account details. Only authorized users or approved applications can register new connections.
